DESCRIPTION:4 WEEKS ONLINE COURSE\nLimited places\n\n«Thinking Big Working Small»\n\n\n\nJOIN AN EXTRAORDINARY TEACHING EXPERIENCE\n\n\n\n\nIn October 2024 three outstanding contemporary artists come together to offer an extraordinary online course. During 4 weeks Martin Campos\, Patrick Lee and Claudia Rilling will share with the attendants their personal vision on painting approaches in small formats as a powerful tool to hone your artistic skills. The course is aimed at any artist who wants to expand their wisdom about painting. Learning three points of view on the art of painting will help you to find your own path and personal voice. \nThe course is one month long during which you will be learning and working guided interactively by Martin\, Patrick and Claudia with the following program: \n\n\n\n\nMartin Campos: “CAPTURING THE IMMEDIACY OF FORM”\nPatrick Lee: “THE LANGUAGE OF ART: PATTERN\, SHAPE AND COLOR”\nClaudia Rilling: “UNLOCKING POWERFUL COMPOSITION: TRANSFORMING YOUR PAINTING THROUGH SMALL-SCALE STUDIES”\nCampos · Lee · Rilling: Final panel\nCOURSE CONTENT:\nThe course is aimed for a limited group of 150 places max and comprises: \n10 Online Sessions: You will have 10 days of 2 hours live online sessions\, 3 with each artist and a final one with a panel discussion between the three of them (See schedule in program) \nRecorded Sessions: All sessions will be recorded and available for you to watch during the whole course in case you can not attend any live session. \nExercises program: Each Artist will propose specific exercises during the live online sessions sharing with you lectures\, examples or demos and solving the questions that may arise. \nFeedback & Critique: From the deadline of receipt of each of your exercises  you will receive a personal short feedback to your work from every teacher \nQ&A: You will be able to ask all your questions during the time reserved for them in each online session. DESCRIPTION:2 modules Online Course\nLimited places\n“Figure Drawing: the expressive line”\nDownload the program in the following link:\n\n	Martin Campos 2 modules online Oct 2021\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIn this 3 weeks online course\, Philadelphia based artist Arcenio Martin Campos will challenge the artists to push artistic boundaries with how one sees the human figure. \n\n\n\n\nWorking directly from observation or photo reference of the model and at a quick pace\, students will understand how to use memory and speed to the best advantage in their work. Single figure studies and figure space compositions will be explored depending on the individual goals of each student. \nMODULE I \nIn the first module\, students will be advised of important anatomical structures that are key elements to what the instructor feels are critical to composing.\nAnother element of this module will be the introduction to the “wipe-out-regeneration” method\, a main procedure to this specific method of building form and movement. \nMODULE II \nThe second module will be the characteristics of finding focal point and locking into a solid composition whether it will be the form or a whole environment independent of the figure.\nAlso what will be discussed is time management and time compression to get the most out of the drawing experience. \nLEARNING OUTCOMES \n\nA rounded sense of the existence of a form made while on a substrate.The mystery of how to solve proportional problems will be clear.\nA strong sense of the gesture which Martin considers the “lifeblood”and the “engine” behind the single figure entity. In the gestural mode\, particular attention will be presented on the skeletal system and the strong role it plays in keying in on and creating the abbreviated gesture.\nHow one can do a strong rooted figure in 10 or less marks is always the challenge. Opening up and “emptying out your form” will be the task — and how to use the power of minimalism to spark memory in future work from a particular model.\nHow the form relates to surface tension and space. Certain aspects of the pose which puncture space and cause tension with its surroundings will be explored.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCOURSE CONTENT \nThis experience will keep you engaged during 3 weeks\, learning and working guided interactively by the teacher. The course is aimed at any artists who wants to expand their vision about painting\, for a limited group of 100 places max and comprises: \n7 Live online Sessions: You will have  7 days of live online sessions\, 6 with lectures\, demos and Q&A and a final one for discussing the students exercises results\, general advice from the teacher and Q&A (See schedule in program) \nEach live session will last 2 hours where the artist will develop the teaching program. \nExercises program: The teacher will propose specific exercises during the live online sessions sharing with you lectures\, examples or demos solving the questions that may arise. \nFeedback & Critique: From the deadline of receipt of your exercises the group will receive a general feedback and you a personal comment from the teacher. \nQ&A: You will be able to ask all your questions during the time reserved for them in each online session. Aunque los estudiantes pueden elegir asistir a uno de los workshops de forma independiente\, éstos están diseñados para complementarse mutuamente. \nCONTENIDO y OBJETIVOS: \n\n\n\n\nEn este taller\, el artista\, basado en Filadelfia\, Arcenio Martín Campos retará al estudiante a empujar las fronteras artísticas del modo en que uno ve la figura humana.\nTrabajando directamente desde la observación o la referencia fotográfica del modelo y a un ritmo rápido\, los estudiantes entenderán cómo usar la memoria y la velocidad para obtener la mejor ventaja en su trabajo. Los estudios de figuras individuales y las composiciones de espacios con figuras se explorarán en función de los objetivos individuales de cada estudiante. \nEl núcleo del trabajo de Martín Campos gira alrededor de la figura\, observada directamente\, y como punto de partida para las distintas narrativas. Con años de entrenamiento sólido en la observación y el dibujo constante\, Martin ha creado una relación fluida y simbiótica con el modelo como musa. Martín Campos espera que con este taller\, pueda trasladarte este conocimiento. \nQUE APRENDERÁ EL ESTUDIANTE \n\nUn sentido completo sobre cómo hacer existir una forma sobre un sustrato. El misterio de cómo resolver problemas de proporciones quedará claro.\nUn fuerte sentido del gesto que Martin considera la «sangre vital» y el «motor» detrás de la entidad de la figura. En el modo gestual\, se prestará especial atención a la estructura esquelética y al fuerte papel que desempeña para detectar y crear el gesto abreviado.\nCómo hacer una figura fuertemente arraigada en 10 o menos trazos que es siempre el desafío. Abrir y «vaciar la forma» será la tarea\, y cómo utilizar el poder del minimalismo para generar memoria en el trabajo futuro sobre un modelo en particular.\nLa importancia de relacionarse con el modelo como ser humano con sentimientos y una vida y no como un «objeto» para dibujar o pintar.
