DESCRIPTION:4 WEEKS ONLINE COURSE\nLimited places\n\n«Pictorial Organisation; Space\, Color and Form»\n\n\n\nJOIN AN EXTRAORDINARY TEACHING EXPERIENCE\n\n\n\n\nIn November 2024 three outstanding contemporary artists come together to offer an extraordinary online course. During 4 weeks Lucas Bononi\, Vincent Desiderio and Brendan Kelly will share with the attendants their personal vision on pictorial organisation\, space\, color and form. The course is aimed at any artist who wants to expand their wisdom about painting. Learning three points of view on the art of painting will help you to find your own path and personal voice. \nThe course is one month long during which you will be learning and working guided interactively by Martin\, Patrick and Claudia with the following program: \n\n\n\n\nVincent Desiderio: “COMPOSITION AND TECHNICAL NARRATIVE”\nLucas Bononi: “ACADEMIC EXPRESSIONISM”\nBrendan kelly: “EXPRESSION TROUGH COMPOSITION”\nBononi · Desiderio · Kelly: Final panel\nCOURSE CONTENT:\nThe course is aimed for a limited group of 150 places max and comprises: \n10 Online Sessions: You will have 10 days of 2 hours live online sessions\, 3 with each artist and a final one with a panel discussion between the three of them (See schedule in program) \nRecorded Sessions: All sessions will be recorded and available for you to watch during the whole course in case you can not attend any live session. \nExercises program: Each Artist will propose specific exercises during the live online sessions sharing with you lectures\, examples or demos and solving the questions that may arise. \nFeedback & Critique: From the deadline of receipt of each of your exercises  you will receive a personal short feedback to your work from every teacher \nQ&A: You will be able to ask all your questions during the time reserved for them in each online session. We believe that these online classes are a perfect complement to the face to face workshops events we organise in our Atelier in Madrid. \nThis 2 modules course will keep you engaged for 3 weeks\, learning and working\, guided interactively by the teacher.  The course is aimed at artists who want to expand their vision about painting. \nYou will get: \n 7 live online Sessions \nExercise program \nFeedback & Critique \nQ&A \nSyllabus \nExchange visual platform \n  \nVincent Desiderio is not only a contemporary Painting master. His profound knowledge of Art history and techniques and his ability to share them will help you to understand the big questions that every artist wonder about.  This will help you to grow and to find your own pathway and voice as an artist. \nFirst week Module I \nForm and its evolution in painting \nExercises will be centered about creating a convincing illusion of light and articulated form. The origins of forms\, privilege as originating in perspective\, will be discussed as well as the optics of illumination from Baroque painting to Modern approaches like Malevich\, Beekman and DeKooning.. \nSecond week Module II \nColor and its evolution in painting \nThe second week will be about color\, from its denigration  before Delacroix to its triumph in modernity.Theory related to optical “truth” and symbolic “meaning” will be discussed. Students will be asked to create a work emphasizing color over form. DESCRIPTION:Workshop de pintura\n“Luz y Opacidad”\n  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOBJETIVOS Y CONTENIDO\nEn éste taller Vincent Desiderio tratará de los procedimientos técnicos básicos relativos al uso del método pictórico indirecto.\nEl alma de una pintura no es la narrativa (la historia) sino la narrativa técnica que implica extraer de los procedimientos técnicos el meollo del significado\, poniendo por lo tanto\, la mayor responsabilidad creativa en la manipulación de los materiales y en la historia de su desarrollo en la propia pintura. \nEn este contexto\, el manejo de la luz es uno de los aspectos más importantes. La práctica se focalizará en crear un estudio mediante el empleo de la luz.
