Painting Workshop<\/h1>\n

\"The Portrait\"<\/em><\/h2>\n

This workshop is part of a bilogy that Edwige Fouvry will teach in Madrid next September. Although students can choose to attend one of the workshops independently, they are designed to complement each other.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The participating artists will begin to paint after the initial lesson in which the focus of the Workshop will be established. In the pictorial practice the artists will try to put into practice the enunciated principles. Edwige Fouvry will talk individually with each artist about their progress.
\nWe will start with classical studies (drawings) of the portraits, keeping in mind composition, lights and volumes.\nWe will pay attention to the color palette, quite specific for the flesh tint, the shadows, etc\u2026 After that we will start painting , learning how to keep in the same time expression and rightness. I will explain you the role of colors and how to create emotions, harmony or tension with them. Of course, art history will be helpful, we will look carefully at masters\u2019s portraits.
\nPrestaremos especial atenci\u00f3n a la paleta de color, espec\u00edficamente sobre los tonos de la piel, las sombras, etc. Tras esta etapa comenzar\u00e1 la pintura, aprendiendo a mantener al mismo tiempo la expresi\u00f3n y el parecido. Edwige Fouvry conversara con cada artista explicando el papel que desempe\u00f1an los colores y como crear emociones, armon\u00eda o tensi\u00f3n con ellos. Por supuesto la mirada sobre la historia del arte siempre servir\u00e1 como referencia, estudiando minuciosamente algunos retratos de los grandes maestros.<\/p>\n
