Painting Workshop<\/h1>\n

\"Synthetic Landscape\"<\/em><\/h2>\n

This workshop is part of a bilogy that Edwige Fouvry is going to teach in Madrid. Although the students can choose to attend to one of the workshops independently, they are designed to be complementary.<\/strong><\/p>\n

OBJECTIVES AND CONTENT<\/p>\n

For this workshop, we will also start with a short introduction about landscape through art histor y.
\nWe will study how the composition and the use of color evolved from ancient to contemporary masters.<\/p>\n

Then, I will make a short demo of landscape painting.
\nAfter this, we will start to work with your own photographs. I suggest you bring photos of places with a special meaning for you, places you already have been to for example, so this way it could be easier to think about your memories and mood.
\nWe will extract from that the main lines and translate them on to the canvas.
\nWhen the drawing is done, we could start painting. We will pay attention to the choice of colors , the meaning, the sensations you can live with different range of colors.
\nDuring all this process, I will try to guide you and help you to equilibrate shapes, intensity, contrast, depth and balance of colors.
\nThis will be an exercise to find the right place between expression and aesthetics.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
