PATRICIA CASTELAO

Patricia Castelao was born in Galicia (Spain), in 1974. Upon discovering her true vocation, she left medical studies and began her training and artistic career. Her first training was at the Institute of Technological Research of the University of Santiago de Compostela, studying 3D modeling, image analysis and virtual reality.

Inspired by her childhood memories of Bernard Cosey comics, she decided to focus her career on illustration where she has worked with some of the best studios and participated in important animation projects, color and illustration of books, covers and posters.

Among her outstanding works are:

Book Illustration
Editorials: Rodeira, Xerais, Bromera and Alfaguara. He has also carried out various projects for official culture bodies: Xunta de Galicia and the poster of the Children's Book Fair of Pontevedra in 2006.

Patricia Castelao has never abandoned the essence of her work, which is drawing and color. Her works of watercolor, marine and especially portrait are of an unusual freshness and technique.

When her commitments and projects of illustration allow it, Patricia Castelao teaches watercolor and color workshops that are a real opportunity to learn from the experience and technique of this great artist.
