Painting Workshop
"The Abstract Landscape"
This workshop is part of a bilogy that Edwige Fouvry will teach in Madrid next September. Although students can choose to attend one of the workshops independently, they are designed to complement each other.
The objective of the workshop is to learn how to create an almost abstract approach to the landscape; how to provide energy and interest; how to get lost in it; How to describe enough but never too much.
We will use all kinds of tools and materials: gloves, palette knives, large brushes, etc. to experiment thoroughly with the textures. Of course from the beginning we will ensure we have a good structure and Edwige Fouvry will explain how to build the master lines in order to have the maximum freedom afterwards.
As always, we will take as reference and talk about the great masters of the landscape throughout the history of art.
